LOX manifold tee analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
A 4000 Hz vibration phenomena was observed during the test firings of several space shuttle main engines (SSME). Experimental studies of this phenomena suggest that the problem might be associated with vortex shedding from the vanes within the LOX tee ...

Use of Metabotyping to Identify Individuals With Different Triglyceride Response Curves After Intake of High‐Fat Meals

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, Volume 70, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
We applied a latent class mixed model to cluster individuals based on their postprandial triglyceride response curves after consumption of high‐fat meals. Three clusters with different triglyceride response patterns were identified. This approach holds the potential to be used for identifying metabolically dysfunctional individuals.

Physical Fitness Cut‐Points for Early Detection of Obesity Risk in Preschool Children

open access: yesObesity, Volume 34, Issue 5, Page 1081-1091, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to establish cut‐points for cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, and speed‐agility and to evaluate their ability to detect general and central obesity risk in preschool children aged 3–5 years. Methods Briefly, 3179 Spanish preschoolers (52.8% boys) were evaluated.

Use of Naltrexone–Bupropion in Persons With Overweight/Obesity and Symptoms of Depression: A Pooled Analysis

open access: yesObesity, Volume 34, Issue 5, Page 1010-1019, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective The present study examined the safety and efficacy of the fixed‐dose, extended‐release combination of naltrexone and bupropion (NB‐ER) in individuals with overweight/obesity and mild to moderate symptoms of depression. Methods Data were pooled from four double‐blind, placebo‐controlled trials.

Identifying Subcellular Structure Components in Escherichia Coli by Crosslinking and SEC‐MS

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, Volume 26, Issue 5, Page 27-36, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Cells are comprised of a broad spectrum of structures that compartmentalize biochemical and signaling mechanisms. These structures can be comprised of many biomolecules, but especially lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. Techniques are limited to quantify or discover new subcellular structures.

Temporal dynamics in functional fruit traits of native and invasive fleshy fruited plants in subtropical Andean forests

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 40, Issue 5, Page 1221-1232, May 2026.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Fruits encompass the energetic and material flow between both interacting parties in frugivore‐mediated seed dispersal. Since fruit traits matter in frugivores' foraging decisions, the temporal dynamics of fruit traits might influence interaction outcomes.

Functional traits predict changes in floral phenology under climate change in a highly diverse Mediterranean community

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 40, Issue 5, Page 1270-1285, May 2026.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Plants are shifting their flowering phenology in response to climate change, but trends differ between species and communities. Functional traits can largely explain how different species respond to climate change by shifting their phenology, and can therefore help ...

Radiation/convection coupling in rocket motor and plume analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
A method for describing radiation/convection coupling to a flow field analysis was developed for rocket motors and plumes. The three commonly used propellant systems (H2/O2, RP-1/O2, and solid propellants) radiate primarily as: molecular emitters, non ...
