Arbitrary orbital angular momentum addition in second harmonic generation
We demonstrate second harmonic generation performed with optical vortices with different topological charges imprinted on orthogonal polarizations. Besides the intuitive charge doubling, we implement arbitrary topological charge addition on the second ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Metasurface-assisted phase-matching-free second harmonic generation in lithium niobate waveguides
Phase matching is a crucial condition for nonlinear optical processes. Here, Wang et al. demonstrate that a gradient metasurface composed of phased array antennas allows phase-matching-free frequency conversion over a pump wavelength range of almost 100 ...

Knowledge‐based atomistic workflows are presented for mechanical and thermodynamic properties. By coupling modular simulations with ontology‐aligned metadata and provenance, Fe case studies on elastic behavior, defects, thermal properties, and Hall–Petch strengthening reveal how FAIR, queryable, and reusable simulation data can be generated. Mechanical

Enhanced second harmonic generation in microfiber loop resonators
Silica nanowires with high nonlinearities are attractive for a variety of applications such as continuum generation and new light sources. In particular, a growing interest was shown for using these nanowires for second harmonic generation (SHG) and ...

SECOND HARMONIC GENERATION AT CRYSTALLINE SEMICONDUCTOR SURFACES
"First, we obtain linear and non-linear optical spectra of clean Si(100) 2x1 reconstructed surfaces based on the model of polarizable bonds. The crystal is is modeled as an array of point-like polarizable dipoles where each dipole is considered to be at ...

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Second-harmonic generation in thin films
Diplomová práce se zabývá generací druhé harmonické a jejím využitím při charakterizaci optických tenkých vrstev.Teoretická část je rozdělena na tři kapitoly. První kapitola se věnuje nelineární optice, konkrétně jevu generace druhé harmonické.
