Second‐order cone programming formulation of discontinuous deformation analysis
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2019SummaryIn classic discontinuous deformation analysis (DDA), artificial springs must be employed to enforce the contact condition through the open‐close iteration. However, improper stiffness parameters might cause numerical problems. The main goal of this paper is to propose a new framework of DDA using second‐order cone programming.

Entry Trajectory Optimization by Second-Order Cone Programming
Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2016Convex optimization has found wide applications in recent years due to its unique theoretical advantages and the polynomial-time complexity of state-of-the-art solution algorithms for convex programming. This paper represents an attempt to apply second-order cone programming, a branch of convex optimization, to the class of highly nonlinear trajectory ...

Descent Property in Sequential Second-Order Cone Programming for Nonlinear Trajectory Optimization
Journal of Guidance Control and Dynamics, 2023Sequential second-order cone programming (SSOCP) is commonly used in aerospace applications for solving nonlinear trajectory optimization problems. The SSOCP possesses good real-time performance.

Statistical Inference of Second-Order Cone Programming
Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research, 2018The randomness of the second-order cone programming problems is mainly reflected in the objective function and the constraints both having random vectors. In this paper, we discuss the statistical properties of estimates of the respective optimal value and optimal solutions when the random vectors are estimated by their sample both in the objective ...
