β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...

Gas-turbine engine secondary air system analysis
Secondary air system model based on graph theory and one dimentional hydraulic models is discussed. Channel inclination to major axis of integration is taking into account. New hydraulic channel model for smooth transition between “horizontal” and “vertical” flow passages is proposed.

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Effect of a System Air Conditioner on Local Air Quality in a Four-bed Ward
In a ward where many patients are hospitalized, effective ventilation is important because airborne viruses may cause secondary infection. This study investigates the changes in the air quality in a four-bed ward according to the use of a ventilation ...

New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

Pericardiocentesis Complicated by Pneumopericardium
This report presents the case of pneumopericardium with trapped air in the pericardial sac occurring after a pericardiocentesis, probably caused by air leakage secondary to a defect in the drainage system and/or accidental removal of the pericardial tube.

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,
