2‐line Ferrihydrite Enhance Microbial Synthesis of Plant Biostimulants in Composted Biosolid by Regulating Phyla Pseudomonadota and Actinomycetota

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study explores how iron and manganese oxides transform sewage sludge into plant biostimulants during composting. Non‐targeted identification reveals the main species of plant biostimulants. Metagenomic analysis reveals that 2‐line ferrihydrite specifically enriches microbial genes for biosynthesis, boosting plant‐growth promoters.

Allelochemicals in plants and the use of allelopathy in agronomy [PDF]

open access: yesBiotemas, 2012
Within the plant kingdom, allelopathy occurs in forests and in agroecosystems, which can produce beneficial or harmful effects on plants that are related to the release of secondary metabolites.

Secondary metabolites and their exploitation in medicine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Many of the medicinal products available today are derived from secondary metabolites. Plants remain the main source of such therapeutic agents but other sources are being explored and exploited.

Interactions of Antibody Drug Conjugate Anti‐Tubulin and Topoisomerase I Inhibitor Payloads with Radiotherapy to Potentiate Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.

Compounds produced by two robust Bacillus amyloliquefaciens biocontrol strains involved in antimicrobial activity and plant-growth promotion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Several members of the Bacillus genus are potential candidates to be used as biological control agents to combat pests or plant diseases. The bacterial attributes associated to Bacillus behaviour are mainly: the production of antimicrobial compounds, the

Icaritin Ameliorates Cisplatin‐Induced Mitochondrial Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Nephrotoxicity and Synergistically Potentiates Its Antitumor Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, scRNA‐seq and chemoproteomics are integrated to characterize CDDP‐bound proteins at single‐cell resolution in tumor‐bearing mice. Additionally, the research demonstrates that ICA alleviates CDDP‐induced nephrotoxicity while enhancing its chemotherapeutic efficacy.
