Hidrossedimentologic study in piquiri river

open access: yesRevista Verde de Agroecologia e Desenvolvimento Sustentável, 2013
The objective of this paper was to evaluate the hidrossedimentologic parameters of the Piquiri river and relating them to basin land use systems. They were monitored the parameters of flood and suspension sediment concentrations during the period from ...

Suspended Sediment Yield Analysis Using a Continuous Monitoring System in the Sg. Pangsun Watershed, Ulu Langat, Selangor [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The need for reliable sediment yield data is a topic which generates much discussion especially among hydrologists, scientists and those concerned with the river system.

Occurrence of metolachlor and trifluralin losses in the Save river agricultural catchment during floods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Rising pesticide levels in streams draining intensively managed agricultural land have a detrimental effect on aquatic ecosystems and render water unfit for human consumption.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Assessment of hydrology, sediment and particulate organic carbon yield in a large agricultural catchment using the SWAT model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT, 2005) was used to simulate discharge and sediment transport at daily time steps within the intensively farmed Save catchment in south-west France (1110 km2).

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Effect of adaptive cluster sampling design on accuracy of sediment rating curve estimation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Adaptive cluster sampling represents a design whereby more samples during high storm hydrographs can be obtained in the field compared to the commonly used calendar-based.

Determination of Sediment Rating Curve In Dry Season In Bedagai Watersheds

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020
Abstract This research was conducted to overcome the problem of lack of sediment data in a watershed in North Sumatra due to the lack of sediment measurements recording which is caused by the amount of cost required, relatively long time, and the risk of obtaining such data.
