Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Confluence characteristics and regulation stage of shoals at Minjiang River mouth
Tributary-mouth channels of mountain rivers are affected by the game between the tributary and main stream, the water and sediment characteristics of which are characterized by both natural rivers and the reach affected by backwater from the main stream.

Depositional models of lacustrine evaporites in the SE margin of the Ebro Basin (Paleogene, NE Spain) [PDF]
An important evaporitic sedimentation occurred during the Paleogene (Eocene to lower Oligocene) in the Barberà sector of the southeastern margin of the Tertiary Ebro Basin.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Geotechnical Characterization and Sedimentation Behavior of Laterite Slurries
: Laterites are the main source of economic metals such as nickel and cobalt. In many parts of the globe, these metals are extracted using the pressure acid leach operation. An efficient rate of sedimentation and a high solids content of the material are

Spira mirabilis enhanced density gradient centrifguation [PDF]
The centrifugal microfluidic “lab-on-a-disc” paradigm is particularly suited to the pre-conditioning of whole blood. In this work we define the geometry of sedimentation chambers using the Spira Mirabilis (equiangular spiral) and so enhance the ...
