Uji Pemberian Peg 6000 Terhadap Morfologi Benih Karet (Hevea Brassiliensis, Muell-arg.) Tanpa Cangkang Setelah Penyimpanan [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Giving test of PEG 6000 to morphology of rubber seeds (Hevea brassiliensis, Muell-Arg.) shellesafter storage. Rubber seeds are recalcitrant seeds have a very high water content, low storability, sorapid had deterioration, and therefore required special ...

A Study of Accelerated Aging and Seed Storage on the Germination of Anaphalis longifolia (Blume) Blume ex.DC.

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Kehutanan, 2019
Anaphalis longifolia is a group of edelweiss flowers which has a highly conservation value. However, there are only limited information on conservation activities of A. longifolia regarded to the seed storage and cultivation.

Uji Deteriorasi Terkontrol (UDT) ‎untuk Memperkirakan Masa Simpan Benih Kedelai (Glycine max (L.) Merr.)

open access: yesAgritech, 2019
Deterioration of seeds during storage may reduce the supply of high-quality seeds which become the limiting ‎factor of soybean production in tropical countries. Controlled Deterioration Test (CDT) is one of the ‎fastest vigor testing methods.

Influence of seed storage techniques on germinability and storability of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L) Walp).

open access: yes, 2016
This study was set to investigate the germinability and storability of the newly released cowpea genotypes and secondly the influence of different storage materials under ambient storage condition on seed vigour and germination over time.

Microglial dynamics and ferroptosis induction in human iPSC‐derived neuron–astrocyte–microglia tri‐cultures

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A tri‐culture of iPSC‐derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia treated with ferroptosis inducers as an Induced ferroptosis model was characterized by scRNA‐seq, cell survival, and cytokine release assays. This analysis revealed diverse microglial transcriptomic changes, indicating that the system captures key aspects of the complex cellular ...

A fast ethanol assay to detect seed deterioration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The most common way to test seed quality is to use a simple and reliable but time- and space-consuming germination test. In this paper we present a fast and simple method to analyse cabbage seed deterioration by measuring ethanol production from ...

Genome-Wide Linkage Mapping Reveals QTLs for Seed Vigor-Related Traits Under Artificial Aging in Common Wheat (Triticum aestivum)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2018
Long-term storage of seeds leads to lose seed vigor with slow and non-uniform germination. Time, rate, homogeneity, and synchrony are important aspects during the dynamic germination process to assess seed viability after storage.

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
