STORABILITY OF CHILLI (Capsicum annum L.) SEED

Seeds dried to a moisture content of 8 per cent and with an initial germination of 85 per cent recorded 73 per cent germination after 30 months of storage under ambient conditions. Slurry treatment with captan 75% WP at 2 g + DDT 50% WP at 200 mg/kg of seed was found better than untreated seeds.

Seed storability behaviour of Lathyrus (Lathyrus sativus L.) genotypes

Storability of bhendi seeds in different agro-ecological conditions

In bhendi var. Parbhani kranti an experiment was carried out to study the influence of agro-ecological conditions, seed treatments and containers on storability of seeds. The results revealed that among the place of storage, seeds stored at Coimbatore, Yercaud, Kodaikanal and Paiyur maintained higher viability and vigour for 24 months.

Flotation in Ethanol Reduces Storability of Southern Pine Seeds

Abstract Flotation in ethanol to separate full and empty seeds of spruce pine and slash pine caused viability to decline in storage. Drying for extended periods after the soaks alleviated some of this effect. Flotation of longleaf pine seeds in pentane did not affect storability. Forest Sci. 17: 50-51.
