Qtls Controlling Seed Weight and Days to Flowering in Mungbean [Vigna Radiata (L.) Wilczek], Their Conservation in Azuki Bean [V. Angularis (Ohwi) Ohwi & Ohashi] and Rice Bean [V. Umbellata (Thunb.) Ohwi & Ohashi] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) is a socio-economically important legume crop of Asia. Varieties with large seed size and early maturity are preferred in commercial production.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Cocksfoot (Dactylis glomerata L.) seed production : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Agricultural Science at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Seed yield reduction due to variation in genotype, management, and incidence of diseases is common and well documented in grass seed crops. Two New Zealand cultivars (Grasslands Wana, Grasslands Kara) and two Japanese (Akimidori Makibamidori) cocksfoot ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

The Effects of Production Region and Seed Weight on Some Characteristics Related with Germinability and Seedling Vigour of Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L) [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و فناوری بذر ایران, 2016
To study the effect of production region and seed weight on some characteristics related with germinability and seedling vigour of peanut seeds, a research was performed in three peanut fields in Astaneh Ashrafieh and agronomy laboratory of Rasht branch ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

High damage potential of seed-borne spot blotch in organically grown spring barley in Denmark [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Spot blotch of barley (Bipolaris sorokiniana, perfect state: Cochliobolus sativus) occurs wherever barley is grown but is normally not considered a major problem in Danish barley production.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Genotypic Variability and Correlation Studies in Pod and Seed Characteristics of Pongamia pinnata (L.) Pierre in Orissa, India

open access: yesInternational Journal of Forestry Research, 2011
Pongamia pinnata (L.) Pierre is a fast growing leguminous tree with high potential for oil seed production. Fifty-three candidate plus trees (CPTs) of Pongamia pinnata were selected from different locations in Orissa, India, on the basis of their seed ...

Comparison of instrumental methods for measuring seed hardness of food-grade soybean [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Seed hardness is an important factor in determining soybean suitability for natto production. There is no established methodology for testing seed texture of soybeans.
