By integrating single‐nuclei and spatial transcriptomics, this study presents a stereoscopic landscape of maize leaf to Puccinia polysora infection. Epidermal and mesophyll cells initiate primary defenses via RLPs/RLKs and jasmonic acid signaling. Cell‐cell communication analyses further reveal the underlying the dynamics of the underlying immune ...

This study reveals the mechanism by which jasmonic acid (JA) regulates lycopene synthesis under light and dark conditions. In light, JA activates SlMYC2, which suppresses SlPIF1a and promotes SlPSY1 expression. In darkness, JA induces the acetyltransferase SlNATA1, which acetylates the dark‐accumulated SlPIF1a, thereby repressing SlPSY1 expression ...

Telomere-to-telomere genome assembly of the Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr
Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr, an important timber species, is widely distributed throughout northeastern China. In our study, we assembled the telomere-to-telomere (T2T) genome of F. mandshurica, generated by using Illumina short-read, PacBio HiFi long-read

This study presents the first telomere‐to‐telomere genomes and population resources for Diaporthe pathogens, uncovering the largest known fungal repertoire of secondary metabolite gene clusters. Structural variations and horizontal gene transfer drive cluster diversification, while specific rapidly evolving clusters control virulence, offering novel ...

Water scarcity poses a critical threat to global food security. A low‐power, flexible electromagnetic actuator is presented for smart drip irrigation systems. The device achieves precise, wide‐range flow modulation (0.05–5.8 mL/min) in response to real‐time plant demands, reducing water consumption compared to conventional flood irrigation.

High light exposure triggers an epidermis‐specific remodeling of mitochondria and ER in Arabidopsis, driven by chloroplast‐derived signals. Live‐cell imaging shows that HL rapidly suppresses mitochondrial motility, followed by fusion‐driven elongation and ER cisternal expansion.

Density of scots pine seedlings in pine forests under the influence of emissions from the Karabash copper smelter and forest fi res [PDF]
We assessed the features of natural pine regeneration in forests with diff erent ages of ground fi res in the Southern Urals depending on the level of heavy metal pollution.
