A Multipath Transport Scheme for Real-Time Multimedia Services Based on Software-Defined Networking and Segment Routing

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
It is still a challenging task to provide satisfactory quality of experience (QoE) to users by traditional routing mechanism in current public Internet for real-time multimedia services with high bandwidth and strict end-to-end latency constraint ...

Segment Routing: A Comprehensive Survey of Research Activities, Standardization Efforts, and Implementation Results [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, 2019
Fixed and mobile telecom operators, enterprise network operators and cloud providers strive to face the challenging demands coming from the evolution of IP networks (e.g., huge bandwidth requirements, integration of billions of devices and millions of ...

Segment Routing Use Cases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Segment Routing (SR) leverages the source routing and tunneling paradigms. A node steers a packet through a controlled set of instructions, called segments, by prepending the packet with an SR header.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Keskitetty Segment Routing -reititys [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017

Achieving Multi-Time-Step Segment Routing via Traffic Prediction and Compressive Sensing Techniques

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management
Traffic engineering (TE) is one of the most critical issues in networking, as it enables efficient and reliable network operations. With the advent of Machine Learning (ML) techniques, many ML-based TE methods have emerged in recent years, especially ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Enhancing Scalability in SRv6 Networks: A Novel Approach

open access: yesIEEE Access
The widespread use of cloud-native environments poses network challenges, requiring complex routing and control. Segment Routing over IPv6 (SRv6) provides a solution that simplifies network management and enables explicit routing with a programmable ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
