Seismic-Moment Tensor of Earthquakes in Azerbaijan for 2012–2015
Russian Geology and Geophysics, 2019Abstract —Seismic-moment tensor solutions for earthquakes in Azerbaijan for 2012–2015 have been calculated with a new method by full waveform inversion of broadband data from modern digital seismic stations and processed statistically.

Regional distance seismic moment tensors of nuclear explosions
Tectonophysics, 2002Abstract Nuclear explosions, because of their known location, depth and theoretical source mechanism, provide a means to explore the resolution of non-double-couple and isotropic seismic moment tensors. We perform seismic moment tensor inversions on long-period (50–20 s), three-component velocity seismograms from the Caltech TERRAscope network and ...

Seismic Moment Tensors in Anisotropic Media: A Review
2018Seismic moment tensors of earthquakes in anisotropic media have more complicated properties than in isotropic media. For example. planar shear faulting produces pure double-couple mechanism in isotropy, but generally non-double-couple mechanism in anisotropy.

Volume Change of Seismic Sources from Moment Tensors
Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, 2001In this note, the estimation of the volume change in the focal region of a seismic event from the isotropic part of the moment tensor is discussed. The moment tensor of a spherically symmetric source (explosion or implosion), as given in an earlier derivation, is supported with new arguments.
