Physical properties of selected brazing filler metals

Science and Technology of Welding and Joining, 2004
A suitable selection of the filler metal is vital for producing satisfactory brazed joints. The wettability of brazing alloys with base metals depends on physical properties such as surface tension, density, melting point, and viscosity. Thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity are also important since the filler metal is frequently required to

CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SELECTED ACORNS

Journal of Food Science, 1971
SUMMARY Acorn varieties within twelve oak species were analyzed for chemical and physical attributes. The kernels were evaluated for moisture, ether extract, crude fiber, ash, crude protein, tannin, nitrogen‐free extract (less tannins), texture and surface color.

Selecting Combinatorial Libraries to Optimize Diversity and Physical Properties

Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences, 1998
The program SELECT is presented for the design of combinatorial libraries. SELECT is based on a genetic algorithm with a multi-objective fitness function. Any number of objectives can be included, provided that they can be readily calculated. Typically, the objectives would be to maximize structural diversity while ensuring that the compounds in the ...

Effects of selective oxidation of chitosan on physical and biological properties

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2005
Chitosan was selectively oxidized at C-6 primary alcohol groups by TEMPO in the presence of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and sodium bromide (NaBr), and also non-specifically oxidized only by NaOCl. Sequentially oxidized chitosan samples from 25 to 100% were produced by 25% increment, from both oxidation processes.

Effect of selected strains on physical and organoleptic properties of breads

Food Chemistry, 2019
The use of selected Saccharomyces cerevisiae PS7314, Lactobacillus rossiae NOS7307, Lactobacillus brevis NOS7311, and Lactobacillus plantarum NOS7315 as mono-culture or co-culture for production of sourdoughs, their breads showed different physical and organoleptic properties. The pH of breads fermented with sourdoughs incubated with mono-culture or co-

Selected Physical Properties

1989
Although most of the physical properties of linear oligopyrroles are mentioned or even used in this book in connection with structural, synthetic, or reactive aspects, it seems to be interesting to summarize selected properties of importance. The first subchapter will deal with the properties of crystalline materials whereas the following subchapters ...
