Spectral Signatures of Saccade Target Selection

Brain Topography, 2015
Action generation relies on a widely distributed network of brain areas. However, little is known about the spatiotemporal dynamics of neuronal activity in the network that gives rise to voluntary action in humans. Here, we used magnetoencephalography (MEG) and source analysis (n = 15, 7 female subjects) to investigate the spectral signatures of human ...

Detection of Signatures of Selection Using F ST

2013
Natural selection has molded the evolution of species across all taxa. Much more recently, on an evolutionary scale, human-oriented selection started to play an important role in shaping organisms, markedly so after the domestication of animals and plants. These selection processes have left traceable marks in the genome.

Selection of Points for On-Line Signature Comparison

Ninth International Workshop on Frontiers in Handwriting Recognition, 2004
Authentication based on handwritten signature is the most accepted authentication system based on biometry because it is easy to use and because the use of signature is part of our habits. In the field of authentication by on-line signature, we present a method to reduce the amount of data to be stored for pattern comparison and that needs few ...

Time-Selective Convertible Undeniable Signatures

2005
Undeniable signatures were introduced in 1989 by Chaum and van Antwerpen to limit the self-authenticating property of digital signatures. An extended concept – the convertible undeniable signatures – proposed by Boyar, Chaum, Damgard and Pedersen in 1991, allows the signer to convert undeniable signatures to ordinary digital signatures.

Selecting signature files for specific applications

[1991] Proceedings, Advanced Computer Technology, Reliable Systems and Applications, 1993
The signature file access method has, in recent years, received a great deal of attention as a storage structure suitable for associative retrieval from files in various applications. Even though the basic idea is simple, several implementation methods have been suggested, each offering certain advantages in special cases.

Template selection for on-line signature verification

2008 19th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2008
In this paper, we propose two effective methods to perform automatic template selection where the goal is to select prototype signature templates for a user from a given set of online signatures. The first method employs a clustering strategy to choose a template set that best represents the intra-class variations, while the second method selects ...
