On selecting a body surface mapping procedure

Journal of Electrocardiology, 1999
Throughout the world, various procedures related to body surface mapping have evolved. The large differences in these procedures make multicenter studies difficult. This paper discusses the problems involved in selecting the number of leads, lead placement, and map format.

Engineering Cell Surfaces for Orthogonal Selectability

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2012
Vectors have been constructed that express the chitin-binding domain (ChBD) on eukaryotic cell surfaces. The ChBD is linked to enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) through a protein that spans the plasma membrane. This binding functionality does not have a counterpart in eukaryotes, thereby endowing the modified cell surface with a property that ...

A new class of frequency selective surfaces

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium 1992 Digest, 1992
A structure comprising a perforated screen with double connected apertures is studied using an efficient two-step procedure. The radiation of the array of patches is evaluated by a Green's function relative to the perforated screen with simply connected aperture A', embedded in a stratified dielectric support (the reference structure).

Variational Surface Approximation and Model Selection

Computer Graphics Forum, 2009
AbstractWe consider the problem of approximating an arbitrary generic surface with a given set of simple surface primitives. In contrast to previous approaches based on variational surface approximation, which are primarily concerned with finding an optimal partitioning of the input geometry, we propose to integrate a model selection step into the ...

Conformal frequency selective surfaces design

2016 24th Signal Processing and Communication Application Conference (SIU), 2016
In this study a conformal frequency selective surface has been proposed for 5.8GHz frequency band and compared with a planer array frequency selective surface in the same sizes. A satisfactory performance has been obtained and a negligible difference has been obtained in terms of frequency and bandwidth when compared to the planer one.

Analysis of Curved Frequency Selective Surfaces

2nd European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2007), 2007
This article presents the full-wave analysis of frequency selective surfaces (FSS) embedded in a multilayer spherical supporting structure. The FSS are composed of circular ring elements because of its good polarisation properties and insensitivity of the resonant frequency on the angle of the incident plane wave.

Surface Reconstruction for Selective Oxidation of Tetrahydroisoquinoline

Inorganic Chemistry
Integration of hydrogen evolution with the oxidation of organic substances in one electrochemical system is highly desirable. However, achieving selective oxidation of organic substances in the integrated system is still highly challenging. In this study, a phosphorylated NiMoO4 nanoneedle-like array was designed as the catalytic active electrode for ...
