Design and synthesis of bifunctionalized mesoporous silicas for selective oxidation of cyclohexane [PDF]
Bifunctionalized hexagonal mesoporous silicas, CoPh-HMS, were designed and successfully synthesized by a one-step co-condensation route at ambient temperature.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Zirconium and hafnium catalyzed C–C single bond hydroboration
Selective cleavage and subsequent functionalization of C−C single bonds present a fundamental challenge in synthetic organic chemistry. Traditionally, the activation of C−C single bonds has been achieved using stoichiometric transition-metal complexes ...

This review focuses on the role of autophagy and mitophagy in maintaining pancreatic β‐cell function and homeostasis. We discuss how genetic defects affecting these pathways contribute to the development of type 1, type 2, monogenic, and gestational diabetes. We further explore their potential as therapeutic targets. Created in BioRender.

Selective oxidation of ethylbenzene by a biomimetic combination: Hemin and N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) [PDF]
A biomimetic catalytic system consisting of hemin and N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) for the selective oxidation of ethylbenzene with dioxygen is reported. 90.32% conversion of ethylbenzene with 94.30% selectivity for acetophenone (AcPO) can be obtained at ...
