Comparative analysis of different preparation methods of chalcogenide glasses: Molecular dynamics structure simulations

open access: yes, 2004
Two different preparation methods (liquid-quenching and evaporation) of chalcogenide glasses have been investigated by molecular dynamics simulations. Our particular aim was to determine how the structural changes occur due to the different preparation ...

Topography‐Regulated Screening Platform for Myoblast Contact Guidance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study develops a topography‐regulated screening platform (12 gradients in 96‐topography‐well plate) enabling analysis of skeletal muscle morphogenesis. The topography‐induced cell morphology changed, cell polarization, and myotube differentiation, establishing an evaluative framework for generating pathologically relevant myotube phenotypes to ...

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

Additive‐Manufactured, Multifunctional Bioreactor Technology for Dynamic Culture of 3D Bioprinted Tissue Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...

Structural Modulation of Charge Transfer in Donor–Acceptor Systems: Effects of Donor Type and Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A coherent phthalimide acceptor platform with planar (Cz—carbazole) and spiro‐type (SAF—spiroacridine fluorene) donors enables systematic tuning of donor geometry and coupling, driving the evolution of excited‐state topology from classical CT‐TADF and fluorescence/RTP to CT‐driven and LE‐assisted TADF with OLED efficiencies ≈ 36%.

The enzymatic hydrolysis of Cardamine violifolia residues with cellulase immobilized on porous biochar via physical and chemical adsorption

open access: yesIndustrial Crops and Products
In this study, porous biochar prepared by the pyrolysis of Cardamine violifolia residues impregnated with metal salts (ZnCl2, MgCl2 or FeCl3) was used as support to immobilize cellulase for the enzymatic saccharification of Cardamine violifolia residues.
