ABSTRACT Background Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis commonly experience reduced physical function, fatigue, poor sleep quality, and impaired health‐related quality of life. Intradialytic exercise has been proposed as a non‐pharmacological strategy to improve these outcomes.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

A note on self-complementary hypergraphs [PDF]
In the paper we describe all self-complementary hypergraphs. It turns out that such hypergraphs exist if and only if the number of vertices of the hypergraph is of the form \(n=2^k\). This answers a conjecture posed by A.

Self-complementary hypergraphs
In this thesis, we survey the current research into self-complementary hypergraphs, and present several new results. We characterize the cycle type of the permutations on n elements with order equal to a power of 2 which are k-complementing. The k-complementing permutations map the edges of a k-uniform hypergraph to the edges of its complement.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Compact self T1-complementary spaces without isolated points
We present an example of a compact Hausdorff self T1-complementary space without isolated points. This answers Question 3.11 from [A compact Hausdorff topology that is a T1-complementof itself, Fund. Math. 175 (2002), 163–173] affirmatively.

Construction of self-complementary graphs
Given a fixed graph \(H\) of order \(2p\), a necessary and sufficient condition is presented for the existence of a self-complementary graph \(G\) of order \(4p\) that contains vertex disjoint copies of \(H\) and \(\overline{H}\), the complement of \(H\).

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
