The invariants of the Clifford groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The automorphism group of the Barnes-Wall lattice L_m in dimension 2^m (m not 3) is a subgroup of index 2 in a certain ``Clifford group'' C_m (an extraspecial group of order 2^(1+2m) extended by an orthogonal group).

Developing evidence‐based, cost‐effective P4 cancer medicine for driving innovation in prevention, therapeutics, patient care and reducing healthcare inequalities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The cancer problem is increasing globally with projections up to the year 2050 showing unfavourable outcomes in terms of incidence and cancer‐related deaths. The main challenges are prevention, improved therapeutics resulting in increased cure rates and enhanced health‐related quality of life.

Ultimate linear block and convolutional codes

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
Linear block and convolutional codes are designed using unit schemes and families of these to required length, rate, distance and type are mined. Properties, such as type and distance, of the codes follow from the types of units used and thus required ...

Some restrictions on weight enumerators of singly even self-dual codes II

open access: yes, 2017
In this note, we give some restrictions on the number of vectors of weight $d/2+1$ in the shadow of a singly even self-dual $[n,n/2,d]$ code. This eliminates some of the possible weight enumerators of singly even self-dual $[n,n/2,d]$ codes for $(n,d ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

A new class of codes for Boolean masking of cryptographic computations

open access: yes, 2012
We introduce a new class of rate one-half binary codes: {\bf complementary information set codes.} A binary linear code of length $2n$ and dimension $n$ is called a complementary information set code (CIS code for short) if it has two disjoint ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Reversible codes in the Rosenbloom-Tsfasman metric

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
Reversible codes have a range of wide applications in cryptography, data storage, and communication systems. In this paper, we investigated reversible codes under the Rosenbloom-Tsfasman metric (RT-metric).

The Quantum States of a Graph

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
Quantum codes are crucial building blocks of quantum computers. With a self-dual quantum code is attached, canonically, a unique stabilised quantum state. Improving on a previous publication, we show how to determine the coefficients on the basis of kets

The Impact of Tilburg Frailty on Poststroke Fatigue in First‐Ever Stroke Patients: A Cross‐Sectional Study With Unified Measurement Tools and Improved Statistics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Poststroke fatigue (PSF) and frailty share substantial overlap in their manifestations, yet previous research has yielded conflicting results due to the use of heterogeneous frailty assessment tools. Objective To evaluate the independent impact of frailty on PSF using a unified measurement system (Tilburg Frailty Indicator, TFI ...
