Self-Mixing Fiber Ring Laser Velocimeter With Orthogonal-Beam Incident System

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2014
In this paper, we present a method of velocity measurement using of a novel self-mixing velocimeter with orthogonal-beam incident system (OSMV), which enables the velocity measurement without knowing the incident angle information.

Self-mixing dual-frequency laser Doppler velocimeter

open access: yesOptics Express, 2013
A self-mixing (SM) dual-frequency (DF) laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) (SM DF-LDV) is proposed and studied, which integrates the advantages of both the SM-LDV and the DF-LDV. An optically injected semiconductor laser operated in a dual-frequency period-one (P1) dynamical state is used as the light source.

Normal‐Appearing White Matter Injury Mediates Chronic Deep Venous Hypoxia and Disease Progression in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...

Sex Representation in US Stroke Clinical Trials: A Decade of Trends and Challenges

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Stroke remains a major cause of disability and mortality in the US, with significant sex‐based disparities, and females remain underrepresented in stroke clinical trials. We aimed to examine sex representation in US‐based stroke clinical trials, identify trial characteristics associated with higher female enrollment (≥ 50%), and ...

Delayed phase mixing in the self-gravitating Galactic disc

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. The discovery of the phase spiral in the vertical position–velocity (z–vz) distribution of the solar neighbourhood stars revealed the Milky Way (MW) disc disequilibrium. The phase spiral is considered to work as a dynamical clock for dating past

Refractive Index Measurement With High Precision by a Laser Diode Self-Mixing Interferometer

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2015
A new method based on the laser diode self-mixing interference effect for refractive index measurement is demonstrated. It employs a simple translation method to measure the optical phase shift as a function of the moving distance of the sample.

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Ofatumumab in Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody–Associated Disease: A Comparison With Rituximab

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ofatumumab in patients with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), and compare it with rituximab. Methods We conducted a single–center, observational study including 22 MOGAD patients treated with ofatumumab and 21 treated with rituximab.
