A Semi-analytical Method for Computing the Dynamics of Bubble Growth: The Effect of Superheat and Operating Pressure

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2018
In this work, we propose a semi-analytical method for computing the dynamics of a spherical-bubble growth in an infinite pool of superheated water. The dynamics shows the temporal variation of bubble radius in superheat of 1.4–17.89 K.

Semi-analytical State Equation Method

2003
Three-dimensional analytical solutions have been presented in the previous chapters for the stress, vibration and buckling analyses of laminated plates and shells with regular boundaries and loading conditions by using the state equation method. It can be seen from these chapters that the state equation method for laminated plates and shells provides ...

A semi-analytical method of orbit computation

Chinese Astronomy, 1979
Abstract It is efficient to compute the long-period and secular perturbations by numerical intergration and to use the classical analytical solution for the short-period perturbations.

A semi-analytical extraction method for transformer model

2014 International Symposium on Integrated Circuits (ISIC), 2014
A novel compact model based on 2-π architecture for millimeter wave circuits on-chip transformer is presented. The model is validated through experimental data of IBM 130-nm RF-CMOS transformer. A MATLAB program has been developed to implement the modeling technique using semi-analytical extraction method which is convenient to calculate the particular

SEMI-ANALYTICAL SENSITIVITY METHODS FOR AEROELASTIC SHAPE OPTIMIZATION

Accurate and efficient sensitivity analysis is fundamental for the convergence of gradient-based optimization techniques. Analytical sensitivity methods are preferred over numerical ones for their accuracy and higher computational efficiency. Although analytical sensitivity methods have been developed for different static structural and purely ...

Calculation of average intensity via semi-analytic method

Applied Physics B, 2009
We present a semi-analytic approach to the solution of the quadruple Huygens-Fresnel integral which is used to calculate the average receiver intensity of a source beam after it has propagated in a turbulent atmosphere. Our approach is based on a self-designed MATLAB function that reduces a quadruple integral to a single one by sequential operations ...

A semi-analytical method to study perturbed rotational motion

Celestial Mechanics, 1988
A semi-analytical method is presented to study the system of differential equations governing the rotational motion of an artificial satellite. Gravity gradient and non gravitational torques are considered. Operations with trigonometric series were performed using an algebraic manipulator. Andoyer’s variables are used to describe the rotational motion.

A Semi-Analytical Method to Evaluate Lightning-Induced Overvoltages on Overhead Lines Using the Matrix Pencil Method

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2018
Lightning electromagnetic fields can couple to overhead power transmission and distribution lines, causing serious effects to the power system. Lightning electromagnetic fields that couple to overhead lines have a nonuniform distribution along the line ...
