Semi-analytic method of contact modelling

Proceedings 2006 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2006. ICRA 2006., 2006
An algorithm to improve the accuracy and stability of rigid-body contact force calculation is presented. The algorithm uses a combination of analytic solutions and numerical methods to solve a spring-damper differential equation typical of a contact model. The solution method employs the recently proposed patch method, which especially suits the spring-

A semi-analytical extraction method for transformer model

2014 International Symposium on Integrated Circuits (ISIC), 2014
A novel compact model based on 2-π architecture for millimeter wave circuits on-chip transformer is presented. The model is validated through experimental data of IBM 130-nm RF-CMOS transformer. A MATLAB program has been developed to implement the modeling technique using semi-analytical extraction method which is convenient to calculate the particular

A semi-analytic multigroup nodal method

Annals of Nuclear Energy, 1999
Abstract This paper describes a hybrid of the analytic nodal method and the polynomial nodal expansion method where the out-group source of the equivalent one-dimensional diffusion equation is approximated by a 4th-order polynomial. Then the higher-order source terms are updated in a weighted residual manner.
