Semi-analytical State Equation Method
2003Three-dimensional analytical solutions have been presented in the previous chapters for the stress, vibration and buckling analyses of laminated plates and shells with regular boundaries and loading conditions by using the state equation method. It can be seen from these chapters that the state equation method for laminated plates and shells provides ...

A Semi-Analytical Method With Dissipation for Fluid Resonances
Volume 4: Offshore Geotechnics; Ronald W. Yeung Honoring Symposium on Offshore and Ship Hydrodynamics, 2012A semi-analytical method with dissipation based on the fluid domain decomposition and the expansion of eigenfunctions associated with each domain is developed to analyze the hydrodynamic interaction between floating bodies. The particular cases of moonpool resonance with thin wall (two sides of each wall are “back to back”) and gap resonance with small

Semi-analytical method for departure point determination
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 2004Summary: A new method for departure point determination on Cartesian grids, the semi-analytical upwind path line tracing (SUT) method, is presented and compared to two typical departure point determination methods used in semi-Lagrangian advection schemes, the Euler method and the four-step Runge-Kutta method.

A semi-analytic method for pole determination of asteroids
The Moon and the Planets, 1981A semi-analytic method, obtained collecting amplitude-aspect and magnitude-aspect relations, is given in order to deduce the pole coordinates of asteroids. The accuracy of this method (5–10°), which needs some restrictive hypotheses, seems to be sufficient for statistical purposes.

SEMI-ANALYTICAL SENSITIVITY METHODS FOR AEROELASTIC SHAPE OPTIMIZATION
Accurate and efficient sensitivity analysis is fundamental for the convergence of gradient-based optimization techniques. Analytical sensitivity methods are preferred over numerical ones for their accuracy and higher computational efficiency. Although analytical sensitivity methods have been developed for different static structural and purely ...Giuseppe Maurizio Gagliardi +2 more

A Semi-analytical Method for Finding the Roots of a Polynomial
IETE Journal of Education, 2014ABSTRACTA systematic method, which combines graphical, analytical, and numerical techniques, is presented for finding the roots of a polynomial P0(s) of any degree. Real roots are first found by a simple graphical method, and then the purely imaginary roots are found by the Hurwitz test.

A Semi-Analytic Method For Time-Dependent Problems
1995Several methods have been proposed which apply the boundary element method to solve time-dependent problems. The most commonly used methods involve time-stepping procedures. These procedures allow errors to accumulate and can become computationally expensive if a solution is required after a significant time has elapsed [1]. To counter these problems a
