Probing lepton universality with (semi)-leptonic B decays [PDF]

open access: greenSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2019
The most recent measurements of the observables $R_{D^{(*)}}$ are in tension with the Standard Model offering hints of New Physics in $b\rightarrow c \ell \bar{\nu}_{\ell}$ transitions.

QED effects in inclusive semi-leptonic B decays [PDF]

open access: diamondJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We analyse in detail the QED corrections to the total decay width and the moments of the electron energy spectrum of the inclusive semi-leptonic B → X c eν decay. Our calculation includes short-distance electroweak corrections, the complete 𝒪(α) partonic

QED factorization of two-body non-leptonic and semi-leptonic B to charm decays [PDF]

open access: greenJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
The QCD×QED factorization is studied for two-body non-leptonic and semi-leptonic B decays with heavy-light final states. These non-leptonic decays, like B ¯ s 0 → D s + π − $$ {\overline{B}}_{(s)}^0\to {D}_{(s)}^{+}{\pi}^{-} $$ and B ¯ d 0 → D + K − $$ {\

Leptonic and semi-leptonic B decays [PDF]

open access: greenNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2001
We present results for the semi-leptonic and leptonic decays of B mesons. These non-perturbative matrix elements are important for constraining the CKM matrix. Results are presented for the pseudoscalar and vector decay constants, as well as flavour breaking ratios and heavy quark symmetry relations.

Semi-leptonic decays heavy-light to heavy-light [PDF]

open access: greenNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2000
We present results for the QCD matrix elements involved in semi-leptonic decays of B-mesons into pseudo scalar heavy light states. The application of NRQCD heavy quarks allows for quark masses around the physical b-quark. We investigate the dependence of the form factors on the external momenta and looked at the mass dependence at zero recoil.

(Semi-)leptonic decays of D Mesons at BESIII [PDF]

open access: greenProceedings of ALPS 2019 An Alpine LHC Physics Summit — PoS(ALPS2019), 2018
Leptonic and semi-leptonic D decays at BESIII contribute the most precise experimental measurement of |Vcs(d)| and form factor fD(s) in the world based on 2.93 fb−1 and 3.19 fb−1 data taken at center-of-mass energies s√=3.773 and 4.180~GeV, respectively.

Form factors for semi-leptonic B decays [PDF]

open access: hybridProceedings of The 30th International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory — PoS(Lattice 2012), 2012
We report on form factors for the B->K l^+ l^- semi-leptonic decay process. We use several lattice spacings from a=0.12 fm down to 0.06 fm and a variety of dynamical quark masses with 2+1 flavors of asqtad quarks provided by the MILC Collaboration. These ensembles allow good control of the chiral and continuum extrapolations.

Search for heavy neutral leptons in decays of W bosons using leptonic and semi-leptonic displaced vertices in s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

open access: diamondJournal of High Energy Physics
A search is performed for long-lived heavy neutral leptons (HNLs), produced through the decay of a W boson along with a muon or electron. Two channels are explored: a leptonic channel, in which the HNL decays into two leptons and a neutrino, and a semi ...
