Semicyclic 3‐Trifloxypropen‐ and Propyniminium Triflates

Liebigs Annalen der Chemie, 1994
AbstractO‐Sulfonylation of 2‐oxomethylene‐substituted 1‐azaheterocycles 1 yields the 3‐trifloxypropeniminium triflates 2a–e in high yield. Thermal β‐elimination of triflic acid from these salts affords the propyniminium triflates (2‐ethynylcycliminium triflates) 3a–e.

Human Exploration of Mars via Earth-Mars Semicyclers

Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 2007
We present an architecture for the human exploration of Mars. This architecture is characterized by the use of parking orbits at Earth and gravity assists at Mars. An interplanetary transfer vehicle cycles from Earth orbit to Marsflyby andback, eliminating the need to launch transfer vehicles from the surfaces ofEarth andMars.Necessary developments for

A Semicycle of Ground-Potential Rise

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1972
A brief description is presented of why the power utilities need communication during faults. Wire communication channels can supply this need when suitably protected. The maximum groundpotential rise is needed to select protective equipment. How this transient voltage is generated with its wave shape and duration is explained for a single phase-to ...

Photochemical δ-hydrogen abstraction from acyclic and semicyclic monothioimides

J. Chem. Soc., Perkin Trans. 1, 1991
Photochemical δ-hydrogen abstraction from acyclic and semicyclic monothioimides have been studied. Photolysis of acyclic monothioimides possessing a benzylic hydrogen atom at the δ-position gave γ-lactams, via a 1,5-diradical intermediate, accompanied by thioamides were generated by γ-hydrogen abstraction.

EPC syntheses and structure–activity relationships of hypoglycaemic semicyclic amidines

European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2000
A series of homochiral sterically hindered mono- and bicyclic amidines was prepared as hypoglycaemic agents by lethargic reaction of O-methylcaprolactim and 3-ethoxy-2-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-2-ene, respectively, with homochiral cis-2-substituted cyclopentane amines provided by asymmetrical reductive amination of racemic 2-substituted cyclopentanones.
