Ultrasound‐Activatable Piezoelectric Hydrogel Reprograms Mitochondrial Epigenetics for Osteoarthritis Therapy via the mTOR/GATD3A Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ultrasound‐activatable piezoelectric hydrogel reprograms chondrocyte mitochondrial epigenetics via the mTOR/GATD3A axis, clearing damaged mitochondria and alleviating osteoarthritis progression in both mouse models and human cartilage explants. ABSTRACT The avascular nature of cartilage hinders drug delivery for osteoarthritis (OA) therapy.

Azoospermia Due to Functional and Partial Ejaculatory Duct Obstruction: A Rare Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Men's Health
Ejaculatory duct obstruction (EDO) is a rare but treatable cause of male infertility. This case report describes a 28-year-old male with obstructive azoospermia. The patient came to our hospital after a fertility check-up revealed azoospermia.

The efficacy and functional consequences of interactions between human spermatozoa and seminal fluid extracellular vesicles

open access: yesReproduction and Fertility
Seminal fluid extracellular vesicles (SFEVs) have previously been shown to interact with spermatozoa and influence their fertilisation capacity. Here, we sought to extend these studies by exploring the functional consequences of SFEV interactions with ...

Studies on the Influence of Adrenal Hormones on the Absorption Ability of the Seminal Vesicles Part 3. Influence of Castration on the Absorption Ability of the Seminal Vesicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1959
The testicular function has the most intimate relation to the seminal vesicles function, the auther made an attempt to examine the influence of the testicular function upon the absorption ability of the seminal vesicles. In this report.

The Emp24 complex recruits a specific cargo molecule into endoplasmic reticulum-derived vesicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Members of the yeast p24 family, including Emp24p and Erv25p, form a heteromeric complex required for the efficient transport of selected proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi apparatus.

Condition‐Associated Pattern Extraction and Recovery From Multi‐Condition Single‐Cell RNA‐seq Data With CAPER

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Decoupling biological signals from unwanted variation in multi‑condition single‑cell RNA sequencing data remains challenging. CAPER disentangles condition‑associated biological effects from sample heterogeneity through matrix factorization, producing interpretable latent factors and a batch‑corrected expression matrix.

Studies on the Influence of Adrenal Hormones on the Absorption Ability of the Seminal Vesicles Part 2. Influence of Adrenal Hormones on Glucose Tolerance Test in Seminal Vesicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1959
The auther has already reported the influences of adrenal hormones on the absorption ability of the seminal vesicles. In this report, the same examination was carried out as stated in part 1 adopting the glucose tolerance test to see the influences of ...

Anisotropic Memristive Switching in NbOCl2 Enabled by Directional Oxygen Ion Migration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates strongly orientation‐dependent memristive switching in anisotropic NbOCl2, observed exclusively along the in‐plane c‐axis. The switching originates from direction‐selective oxygen‐ion migration and vacancy propagation that modulate the Pd/NbOCl2 Schottky barrier, enabling short‐term plasticity.
