SEMI-DIRECT PRODUCTS AND BOL LOOP
The authors first discuss under what circumstances semi-direct products of loops can be formed and then show exactly when a loop is a semi-direct product of a pair of subloops. It turns out that some ad hoc constructions in the literature are in reality semi-direct products.

Direct sums of semi-projective modules
We investigate when the direct sum of semi-projective modules is semi-projective. It is proved that if R is a right Ore domain with right quotient division ring Q not equal R and X is a free right R-module then the right R-module Q circle plus X is semi-projective if and only if there does not exist an R-epimorphism from X to ...

Direction-Aware Semi-Dense SLAM
To aide simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), future perception systems will incorporate forms of scene understanding. In a step towards fully integrated probabilistic geometric scene understanding, localization and mapping we propose the first direction-aware semi-dense SLAM system.

Direct and semi-direct approaches to lepton mixing with a massless neutrino [PDF]
We discuss the possibility of enforcing a massless Majorana neutrino in the direct and semi-direct approaches to lepton mixing, in which the PMNS matrix is partly predicted by subgroups of a discrete family symmetry, extending previous group searches up to order 1535.

ASSIST: Refinement of a Benefits Navigator Intervention Among Low‐Income Pediatric Oncology Families
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Children with cancer living in poverty experience worse survival and quality of life. Interventions connecting low‐income families to benefits (e.g., Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program [SNAP] improve health outcomes; yet nearly 50% of SNAP‐eligible pediatric oncology families are unenrolled.

Impact of Metastatic Patterns on Survival and Response to Therapy in Neuroblastoma
ABSTRACT Background While the presence of metastases in neuroblastoma (NB) is a well‐established prognostic factor, the clinical significance of dissemination patterns and tumour burden and their impact on response and survival remains poorly understood.

Loosely-Coupled Semi-Direct Monocular SLAM [PDF]
We propose a novel semi-direct approach for monocular simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) that combines the complementary strengths of direct and feature-based methods. The proposed pipeline loosely couples direct odometry and feature-based SLAM to perform three levels of parallel optimizations: (1) photometric bundle adjustment (BA) that ...

Determining Parental Factors for Clinical Trial Attrition in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Despite high enrollment rates on Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols, attrition after initial consent is challenging, introducing bias and prolonging trial completion. While adult oncology literature has identified predictors of withdrawal, little is known about caregiver decision‐making for child participation in ...
