Sensitivity Analysis in OLAP Databases

open access: yesProceedings of the 20th International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems, 2018
The theoretical underpinnings under which sensitivity analysis is valid in OLAP databases are dealt with in this paper. Sensitivity analysis is considered to be the reverse of explanation generation in diagnostic reasoning. Our exposition differentiates between sensitivity analysis in systems of purely drill-down equation and mixed systems of equations

Multi‐omic characterization of consensus molecular subtype 1 (CMS1) colorectal cancer with dampened immune response improves precision medicine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study highlights the importance of multi‐omic analyses in characterizing colorectal cancers. Indeed, our analysis revealed a rare CMS1 exhibiting dampened immune activation, including reduced PD‐1 expression, moderate CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, and suppressed JAK/STAT pathway.

Sensitivity analysis and uncertainty quantification of stiffness modulus using indirect tensile test

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering
The stiffness modulus is a critical element in pavement engineering, as its accurate measurement directly reflects the load-bearing capacity of the pavement section.

Climate variability from annual to multi-decadal timescales in a two-layer stochastic energy balance model: analytic solutions and implications for general circulation models

open access: yesTellus: Series A, Dynamic Meteorology and Oceanography, 2019
A low-order stochastically forced two-layer global energy balance model (EBM) admitting an analytical solution is developed for studying natural inter-annual, decadal and multi-decadal climate variability, and ultimately to better understand forced ...

Multi-criteria decision making: An example of sensitivity analysis

open access: yes, 2017
This study provides a model for result consistency evaluation of multicriterial decision making (MDM) methods and selection of the optimal one. The model is based on the analysis of results of MDM methods, that is, the analysis of changes in rankings of ...

Targeting the AKT/mTOR pathway attenuates the metastatic potential of colorectal carcinoma circulating tumor cells in a murine xenotransplantation model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Development and Application of a Sensitivity and Uncertainty Analysis Framework for Safety Analysis of Molten Salt Reactors

open access: yesEnergies
To provide reliable safety margins in reactor design and safety analysis, the best estimate plus uncertainty (BEPU) analysis, which is recommended by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has drawn increasing attention worldwide.

Sensitivity Analysis of BLISK Airfoil Wear †

open access: yesInternational Journal of Turbomachinery, Propulsion and Power, 2018
The decreasing performance of jet engines during operation is a major concern for airlines and maintenance companies. Among other effects, the erosion of high-pressure compressor (HPC) blades is a critical one and leads to a changed aerodynamic behavior,
