Cellular liquid biopsy provides unique chances for disease monitoring, preclinical model generation and therapy adjustment in rare salivary gland cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...

Weaving Hilbert space fusion frames [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
A new notion in frame theory, so called weaving frames has been recently introduced to deal with some problems in signal processing and wireless sensor networks. Also, fusion frames are an important extension of frames, used in many areas especially for wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we survey the notion of weaving Hilbert space fusion frames.

Genomic landscape and preclinical models of angiosarcoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 4, Page 965-983, April 2025.
Angiosarcomas are a rare and aggressive cancer with a poor prognosis for patients. The genomic landscape of angiosarcoma can be highly complex and heterogenous; however, recent studies have identified some common features especially within anatomic and molecular subgroups.

Optimal Sensor Data Fusion Architecture for Object Detection in Adverse Weather Conditions [PDF]

open access: yes21st International Conference on Information Fusion (FUSION) (2008) 2592-2599, 2018
A good and robust sensor data fusion in diverse weather conditions is a quite challenging task. There are several fusion architectures in the literature, e.g. the sensor data can be fused right at the beginning (Early Fusion), or they can be first processed separately and then concatenated later (Late Fusion).

Targeting rapid TKI‐induced AXL upregulation overcomes adaptive ERK reactivation and exerts antileukemic effects in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 5, Page 1386-1403, May 2025.
Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

Combined spatially resolved metabolomics and spatial transcriptomics reveal the mechanism of RACK1‐mediated fatty acid synthesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors analyzed the spatial distributions of gene and metabolite profiles in cervical cancer through spatial transcriptomic and spatially resolved metabolomic techniques. Pivotal genes and metabolites within these cases were then identified and validated.

A Fusion Tracking Algorithm for Electro-Optical Theodolite Based on the Three-State Transition Model

open access: yesSensors
This study presents a novel approach to address the autonomous stable tracking issue in electro-optical theodolite operating in closed-loop mode. The proposed methodology includes a multi-sensor adaptive weighted fusion algorithm and a fusion tracking ...

Sensor Fusion : The State of the Art

open access: yesJournal of Robotics and Mechatronics, 1990
Abstract The state of the art of sensor fusion and problems to be solved are described. The basic concept of sensor fusion is classified in contrast to the function of the brain and problems of sensor fusion are defined from the viewpoints of hardware, software and algorithms such as signal processing, artificial intelligence and neural networks.

Plasma‐activated media selectively induces apoptotic death via an orchestrated oxidative stress pathway in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 4, Page 1170-1187, April 2025.
High‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) is the most common and aggressive type of ovarian cancer with urgent need for new treatment strategies. This study evaluates plasma‐activated media (PAM) as a novel treatment for HGSOC, showing its ability to selectively induce oxidative stress and apoptosis in HGSOC cell lines, patient ascites cells and primary
