Carbonated Yogurt—Sensory Properties and Consumer Acceptance
Abstract Sweetened low fat (1%) plain yogurt and low fat Swiss-style strawberry and lemon yogurts were manufactured using cream, nonfat dry milk, sugar, stabilizer (a blend of modified food starch, carrageenan, and pectin), and skim milk. After addition of the yogurt cultures and Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum , yogurt samples

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

The hippocampus and cerebellum in adaptively timed learning, recognition, and movement [PDF]
The concepts of declarative memory and procedural memory have been used to distinguish two basic types of learning. A neural network model suggests how such memory processes work together as recognition learning, reinforcement learning, and sensory-motor

Multi-agents adaptive estimation and coverage control using Gaussian regression
We consider a scenario where the aim of a group of agents is to perform the optimal coverage of a region according to a sensory function. In particular, centroidal Voronoi partitions have to be computed.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

The characterization of the functional properties of three cold alkali extracted meat protein concentrates and the relationship between functional properties determined using model systems and the properties of an emulsion-type sausage in which they were incorporated : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Masterate of Technology (Biotechnology) at Massey University [PDF]
The feasibility of marketing three meat protein concentrates (MassMPC, MyoMPC and SarcoMPC) on the commercial protein market was studied. Solubility, heat gel strength, water binding and emulsification properties of these proteins were investigated under

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
