In the paper we consider several dynamical systems that admit a separation of variables on the algebraic curve of genus 4. The main result of the paper is an explicit formula for the action of these systems. We find it directly from the Hamilton-Jacobi equation.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Separation of variables for the classical and quantum Neumann model
The method of separation of variables is shown to apply to both the classical and quantum Neumann model. In the classical case this nicely yields the linearization of the flow on the Jacobian of the spectral curve.
