ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Confidence sets in sparse regression

open access: yes, 2013
The problem of constructing confidence sets in the high-dimensional linear model with $n$ response variables and $p$ parameters, possibly $p\ge n$, is considered. Full honest adaptive inference is possible if the rate of sparse estimation does not exceed

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Effective Monoaural Speech Separation through Convolutional Top-Down Multi-View Network

open access: yesFuture Internet
Speech separation, sometimes known as the “cocktail party problem”, is the process of separating individual speech signals from an audio mixture that includes ambient noises and several speakers.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Detection of the large scale alignment of massive galaxies at z~0.6

open access: yes, 2013
We report on the detection of the alignment between galaxies and large-scale structure at z~0.6 based on the CMASS galaxy sample from the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopy Survey data release 9.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Algorithm for Reducing the Number of Forwarding Rules Created by SDN Applications

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2019
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a network architecture that introduces a physical separation of data-plane from control-plane. It implements a new way of analyzing network statistics through counters installed on forwarding rules.

Universal statistics of non-linear energy transfer in turbulent models

open access: yes, 1996
A class of shell models for turbulent energy transfer at varying the inter-shell separation, $\lambda$, is investigated. Intermittent corrections in the continuous limit of infinitely close shells ($\lambda \rightarrow 1$) have been measured.
