A Non-Parametric Test for Non-Independent Noises Against a Bilinear Dependence
A new methodology, based on the asymptotic separation of probability laws, was introduced by Gonçalves, Jacob and Mendes-Lopes (2000) in the development of the statistical inference of bilinear models, namely in the construction of a consistent decision

Blind signal separation based on widely linear complex autoregressive process of order one
In this paper, the blind signal separation problem of complex baseband signal is addressed. A widely linear complex autoregressive process of order one is employed to represent the temporal structure of complex sources.

Equilibrium statistics of finite Hamiltonian systems is fundamentally described by the microcanonical ensemble (ME). Canonical, or grand-canonical partition functions are deduced from this by Laplace transform.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Linear theory and velocity correlations of clusters
Linear theory provides a reasonable description of the velocity correlations of biased tracers both perpendicular and parallel to the line of separation, provided one accounts for the fact that the measurement is almost always made using pair-weighted ...

Separable Statistics and Multidimensional Linear Cryptanalysis
Multidimensional linear cryptanalysis of block ciphers is improved in this work by introducing a number of new ideas. Firstly, formulae is given to compute approximate multidimensional distributions of the encryption algorithm internal bits. Conventional statistics like LLR (Logarithmic Likelihood Ratio) do not fit to work in Matsui’s Algorithm 2 for ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

DOF phase separation of the Lennard-Jones fcc(111) surface
Recent lattice model calculations have suggested that a full-layered crystal surface may undergo, under canonical (particle-conserving) conditions, a preroughening-driven two-dimensional phase separation into two disordered flat (DOF) regions, of ...

Analytic Models for Separable Statistical Multiplexing [PDF]
We investigate a multiplexing scheme for ATM that statistically multiplexes VCs of the same service, but does not statistically multiplex across services. The scheme is implemented by allocating bandwidth to each service. In the static version, the allocations are fixed; in the dynamic version, the allocations depend on the numbers of VCs in progress ...
