Chromatography of vWF on dextran sulphate sepharose

Thrombosis Research, 1987
A relatively simple and reproducible chromatographic separation using Dextran Sulphate (DS) Agarose is described for the purification of vWf:Ag from cryoprecipitate or plasma source material. The elution profiles suggest high affinity of vWf for the matrix permitting resolution from Fibrinogen, IgG and the unbound Albumin.

Purification of Immunoglobulins Using Protein A-Sepharose

2003
Most immunochemical techniques used in molecular biology rely on a specific class of antibodies, immunoglobulin G (IgG). In mammals, IgG antibodies are produced during the secondary humoral response and contribute about 80% of the serum immunoglobulin. Factors affecting the experimental production of antibodies have been discussed in detail (1).

Peptide synthesis on SepharoseTM beads

The Journal of Peptide Research, 1997
NHS‐activated Pharmacia HiTrap SepharoseTM was modified with 1,3‐diaminopropane to give an amino‐functionalized support suitable for solid‐phase peptide synthesis. The amide linker p‐[(R,S)‐α‐[1‐(9H‐fluoren‐9‐yl)‐methoxyformamido]‐2,4‐dimethoxybenzyl]phenoxyacetic acid was incorporated and the acyl carrier protein sequence 65‐74 was synthesized ...

Continuous spectrophotometric assay of a Sepharose-bound enzyme and its use to study kinetics of coupling of the enzyme to sepharose

Analytical Biochemistry, 1973
Abstract Continuous spectrophotometric assay of Sepharose-bound aldolase was performed using a commercial spectrophotometer with a built-in magnetic stirrer. Under most conditions likely to be encountered, the turbidity of the stirred Sepharose suspension did not interfere significantly with the optical measurements.

Trace adsorption of positively charged proteins onto Sepharose FF and Sepharose FF-based anion exchangers

Journal of Chromatography A, 2012
Agarose-based matrices have been widely used in ion exchange chromatography (IEC). We have herein observed that positively charged proteins (lysozyme and cytochrome c) are adsorbed on the agarose-based anion-exchangers (Q and DEAE Sepharose FF gels) in a capacity of 10-40 μg/mL.

Interferon-sepharose: Induction of the antiviral state

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1974
Summary Mouse (L cell) interferon has been covalently attached to Sepharose beads. The interferon-Sepharose beads induce resistance in L cells to virus replication. It is concluded that interferon induces resistance to viral replication from the cell surface only without entry into the cell.

Immobilization of human intestinal mucosa enzymes on sepharose

Analytical Biochemistry, 1977
Abstract Digestive enzymes from human intestinal mucosa were solubilized by Triton X-100 and papain and covalently bound to eyanogen bromide-activated Sepharose 4-B gel. Triton X-100 solubilized most of the activities, and 39.1 to 63.5% were immobilized on the carrier. The other enzymes, still bound on the microvilli, were subsequently solubilized by
