A Touch Enabled Hemodynamic and Metabolic Monitor
This work presents a touch‐based hybrid platform for simultaneous monitoring of vital signs and sweat metabolites. With a simple tri‐finger touch of 4–6 min, users can concurrently get to know their glucose, uric acid, cortisol levels from fingertip sweat, along with blood pressure and heart rate.

Model-Free Reinforcement Learning for Automated Fluid Administration in Critical Care [PDF]
Fluid administration, also called fluid resuscitation, is a medical treatment to restore the lost blood volume and optimize cardiac functions in critical care scenarios such as burn, hemorrhage, and septic shock. Automated fluid administration systems (AFAS), a potential means to improve the treatment, employ computational control algorithms to ...

Two closely related whitefly species, Trialeurodes vaporariorum and Bemisia tabaci, are found to each possess a plant‐derived TLP gene, but with entirely different functions. This finding of functional divergence challenges the notion that HGT genes maintain similar functions across species and shows that they can follow unique evolutionary paths that ...

Exosomes and their roles in the chemoresistance of pancreatic cancer
Despite the development of multiple promising chemotherapeutic agents as recommended first‐line treatment for PC, the therapeutic efficacy is largely limited by unwanted drug resistance.Exploring the relation between exosomes and chemoresistance may be conducive to understanding molecular mechanisms and taking effective measures to reduce the ...

Comparison of Clinical Scores for Predicting Stroke‐Associated Pneumonia After Acute Ischemic Stroke
Our study compared the discrimination and calibration of the Kwon Pneumonia Score, A2DS2 score, PANTHERIS score, AIS‐APS score, ISAN score, and PASS score in SAP identification; of these, the AIS‐APS score showed the best performance. ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the discrimination and calibration of six risk scoring systems in the assessment of ...
