NON-LINEAR MULTI-FRAME IMAGE DENOISING USING WEIGHTED NUCLEAR NORM MINIMIZATION [PDF]
We address the problem of constructing single low noise image from a sequence of multiple noisy images. We use the approach based on finding and averaging similar blocks in the image and extend it to multiple images.

Phylogenetic and Evolutionary Analysis of the Late Embryogenesis Abundant (LEA) Gene Product in Poaceae [PDF]
The late Embryogenesis Abundant (LEA) protein family obtains a group of stress-induced hyper-hydrophilic proteins that accumulate in response to cellular dehydration.

Increased fMRI sensitivity at equal data burden using averaged shifted echo acquisition
There is growing evidence as to the benefits of collecting BOLD fMRI data with increased sampling rates. However, many of the newly developed acquisition techniques developed to collect BOLD data with ultra-short TRs require hardware, software, and non ...

Parameter estimation methods for chaotic intercellular networks. [PDF]
We have investigated simulation-based techniques for parameter estimation in chaotic intercellular networks. The proposed methodology combines a synchronization-based framework for parameter estimation in coupled chaotic systems with some state-of-the ...

Latitudinal distribution and mitochondrial DNA (COI) variability of Stereotydeus spp. (Acari: Prostigmata) in Victoria Land and the central Transantarctic Mountains [PDF]
We examined mitochondrial DNA (COI) variability and distribution of Stereotydeus spp. in Victoria Land and the Transantarctic Mountains, and constructed Neighbour Joining (NJ) and Maximum Likelihood (ML) phylogenetic trees using all publicly available ...

Centroid Transformations of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Values Based on Aggregation Operators
Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy sets extend the notion of fuzzy sets. In addition to Zadeh’s membership function, a non-membership function is also considered. Intuitionistic fuzzy values play a crucial role in both theoretical and practical

On the peak-to-average power ratio of M-sequences
Let \(\mathbb F_q\), \(q=2^m\), be a finite field with a primitive element \(\alpha\). For \(\beta\in \mathbb F_q^*\), the \(M\)-sequence is: \[ a_k(\beta )=(-1)^{\text{tr}(\beta\alpha^k)},\qquad 0\leq k < q-1, \] where \(\text{tr}\) is the trace form \(\mathbb F_q\) to \(\mathbb F_2\).

Structural elucidation of the multidomain response regulator PleD using X-ray crystallography [PDF]
c-diGMP (bis-(3!5)-cyclic di-guanosine monophosphate) is used extensively in bacteria to control biofilm formation and is lately postulated as a novel secondary messenger.
