From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Wide spread of OXA-48-producing Enterobacteriaceae in Algerian hospitals: A four years’ study
Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) in Algerian hospitals and to characterize the molecular types of carbapenemases found.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Let \(R\) be a Noetherian complete local domain of dimension \(1\). In the present paper, the authors define the type sequence \([r_1, \dots, r_n]\) of a fractional ideal \(M\) of \(R\), where \(r_1\) is the Cohen-Macaulay type of \(M\), and they investigate its behavior.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Application of sequence stratigraphic concepts to the cretaceous Urgonian carbonate platform, southeast France [PDF]
Carbonate platforms are increasingly being studied using sequence stratigraphic concepts and models borrowed from the study of siliciclastic shelves in passive margin settings. The direct transposition of the stratigraphic model for a siliciclastic shelf

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
