I-limit inferior and I-limit superior of sequences of sets

open access: yes, 2016
In this talk, we extend the concepts of I-Limit superior and I-Limit inferior for reel number sequences to I-Limit superior and I-Limit inferior for sequences of sets, study their certain properties and establish some basic ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

An Activity Rule Based Approach to Simulate ADL Sequences

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The concept of activities of daily living (ADL) has for many years successfully been used in a broad range of health and health care applications. Recent hardware and software developments suggest that the future use of ADL will not only benefit from the

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Structural properties of limitwise monotonic reducibility of sequences of sets

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2018
The paper is devoted to the study of limitwise monotonic sets, as well as to the investigation of the main structural properties of limitwise monotonic reducibility (lm-reducibility) between set and sequence of sets.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

PhyME: A probabilistic algorithm for finding motifs in sets of orthologous sequences

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2004
Background This paper addresses the problem of discovering transcription factor binding sites in heterogeneous sequence data, which includes regulatory sequences of one or more genes, as well as their orthologs in other species.

Nested sequences of sets, balls, Hausdor Convergence

open access: yes, 2016
We discuss the behaviour of sequences of sets: we consider convergence of sequences, in particular of nested sequences, with respect to preservation of some ...
