Discovering Unbounded Episodes in Sequential Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
One basic goal in the analysis of time-series data is to find frequent interesting episodes, i.e, collections of events occurring frequently together in the input sequence. Most widely-known work decide the interestingness of an episode from a fixed user-specified window width or interval, that bounds the subsequent ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

On efficiently mining high utility sequential patterns

open access: yes, 2016
High utility sequential pattern mining is an emerging topic in pattern mining, which refers to identify sequences with high utilities (e.g., profits) but probably with low frequencies. To identify high utility sequential patterns, due to lack of downward

Sequential Bayesian Registration for Functional Data

open access: yesStatistics and Computing
Abstract In many modern applications, discretely-observed data may be naturally understood as a set of functions. Functional data often exhibit two confounded sources of variability: amplitude (y-axis) and phase (x-axis). The extraction of amplitude and phase, a process known as registration, is essential in exploring the underlying structure

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
