Sequential Estimation in Bernoulli Trials
number of successes in n trials, a heuristic rule is derived and shown to perform well for any fixed 0 0, this rule performs badly for p close to 0 or 1. To overcome this difficulty a uniform prior on p is introduced, and the optimal Bayes procedure is shown to exist and to have bounded sample size. The optimal Bayes risk is shown to be - 27rci as c -

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

A Possibilistic Formulation of Autonomous Search for Targets
Autonomous search is an ongoing cycle of sensing, statistical estimation, and motion control with the objective to find and localise targets in a designated search area.

Sequential point and interval estimation of scale parameter of exponential distribution
Sequential fixed-width confidence intervals are obtained for the scale parameter σ when the location parameter θ of the negative exponential distribution is unknown.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

A Note on Sequential Estimation
Summary Moran (1951) infers that for some stationary stochastic processes, problems of parameter estimation may be simplified by employing sequential estimation procedures. He considers for example, estimation of the birth rate in the (stationary) Furry–Yule process.

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Robust Sequential Approximate Bayesian Estimation
SUMMARY An approximation to the sequential updating of the distribution of location parameters of a linear time series model is developed for non-normal observations. The behaviour of the resulting non-linear recursive filtering algorithm is examined and shown to have certain desirable properties for a variety of non-normal error ...
