Measurement of ?-amylase activity by Sequential Injection Analysis

Biotechnology Techniques, 1995
A Sequential Injection Analysis (SIA) system for monitoring α-amylase activity is described. The SIA analyser is a further development of previously investigated Flow Injection Analysis (FIA) analyser. The analysis of α-amylase activity is based on monitoring the decoloration of an iodine-starch complex.

Sequential injection analysis using electrochemical detection: A review

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2005
Nowadays a laboratory should be able to analyse a large number of samples in an accurate, reproducible, quick and economic way. As sequential injection analysis (SIA) is becoming an important tool for the automation of chemical procedures, this paper presents an overview of the principles of operation and applications of this emergent methodology using

Monitoring of environmental parameters by sequential injection analysis

TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 2001
The use of sequential injection analysis (SIA), as applied to the control of environmental parameters, is reviewed. Its advantages and drawbacks are compared with those of flow injection analysis (FIA). FIA is simpler and easier to handle, has a higher sample throughput, and may be controlled manually, but SIA is more robust and versatile and better ...

Chromium speciation using sequential injection analysis and multivariate curve resolution

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2006
In this paper we develop a suitable method for the speciation of chromium in tanning and environmental water samples. We use sequential injection analysis (SIA) with a diode array detector linked to chemometric tools such as multivariate curve resolution-alternating least squares (MCR-ALS) to determine Cr(III) and Cr(VI) species. Although Cr(III) is an

Sequential injection analysis for electrochemical measurements and process analysis

The Analyst, 1994
Sequential injection analysis (SIA) is a computer-controlled single-line system that allows most analyses, including multi-reagent types, to be performed with ease. Single standard calibration is possible. This relatively new technique is more suitable for process analyses than conventional flow injection analysis because of its greater simplicity, and

Sequential injection analysis in capillary format with an electroosmotic pump

Talanta, 1994
A system of sequential injection analysis (SIA) in capillary format based on an electroosmotic pump is introduced. The system exhibits excellent reliability and reproducibility (relative standard deviation 0.6-0.8%) for both simple and complex chemical reaction systems.

Flow Injection, Sequential Injection Analysis, and Lab-on-a-Valve Approaches

2019
Flow injection analysis (FIA), which is an advanced method of continuous flow analysis (CFA), was conceived in Denmark by Ruzicka and Hansen in 1974, and the first paper describing this novel and revolutionizing analytical concept for conducting chemical assays was published in early 1975.

Simple sequential injection analysis system for rapid determination of microalbuminuria

Talanta, 2009
A simple, specific and sensitive sequential injection analysis (SIA) system based on non-immunoassay fluorescent detection has been developed for the determination of urinary albumin. The specific binding of the dye Albumin Blue 580 (AB 580) to albumin in urine generated high emission fluorescent signals.

Simple convenient method for measuring injection volumes in flow injection and sequential injection analysis

Analytical Communications, 1996
A simple, convenient method for determining injection volumes in flow injection and sequential injection analysis is presented. It is based on comparing the dilution of an injected dye with a standard calibration curve. The proposed colour method gave the volume of the whole injection device more accurately than methods where the inner dimensions of ...

Determination of nitrite by sequential injection analysis of electrokinetic flow analysis system

Talanta, 2002
A new sequential injection analysis (SIA) method of an electrokinetic flow analysis (EKFA) system for the determination of nitrite-nitrogen is presented in this paper. The proposed system mainly consisted of an electroosmotic pump, two solenoid valves and a spectrophotometer etc.
