Sequential Injection Amperometric System Coupling with Bioreactor for In-Line Glucose Monitoring in Cell Culture Application

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
We proposed a specially designed sequential injection (SI) amperometric system coupling with a bioreactor for in-line glucose monitoring in cell culture.

Beyond the golden run : evaluating the use of reference run models in fault injection analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Fault injection (FI) has been shown to be an effective approach to assess- ing the dependability of software systems. To determine the impact of faults injected during FI, a given oracle is needed.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Sprays from droplets impacting a mesh

open access: yes, 2018
In liquid spray applications, the sprays are often created by the formation and destabilization of a liquid sheet or jet. The disadvantage of such atomization processes is that the breakup is often highly irregular, causing a broad distribution of ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Sequential injection analysis determination of sulphate in wastewaters by ultraviolet-spectrophotometry

open access: yesJournal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, 2000
A sequential injection analysis system based on the formation of the cation FeSO4+ and the spectrophotometric measuring of the absorbance at 355 nm has been developed for the determination of sulphate in wastewaters.

Ternary fuel mixture of diesel, rapeseed oil and tyre pyrolytic oil suitable for modern CRDI engines

open access: yesTransport, 2018
The focus on seeking alternative fuels for combustion engines has been on the environmental and political scene for many years. Simultaneously there is a more and more serious problem of non-degradable waste utilization.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Sequential injection-chemiluminescence evaluation of stigmasterol glucoside and luteolin via green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using biomass of plectranthus asirensis

open access: yesGreen Chemistry Letters and Reviews, 2018
The present study focused on the phytochemical chromatographic isolation of two chemical constituents, sterol and flavonoid (stigmasterol glucoside and luteolin) from Plectranthus asirensis.
