Resistance to Overdoping Allows Over 2000 S cm−1 Conductivity in P(g3BTTT) With Anion‐Exchange Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Incorporating Model Uncertainty into the Sequential Importance Sampling Framework using a Model Averaging Approach, or Trans-Dimensional Sequential Importance Sampling. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Previously in the University eprints HAIRST pilot service at http://eprints.st-andrews.ac.uk/archive/00000463/A sequential Bayesian Monte Carlo approach is proposed in which model space can be explored during the Sequential Importance Sampling (SIS, a.k ...

Mean exit times and the multilevel Monte Carlo method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Numerical methods for stochastic differential equations are relatively inefficient when used to approximate mean exit times. In particular, although the basic Euler–Maruyama method has weak order equal to one for approximating the expected value of the ...

Detecting Simulated Nosocomial Disease Outbreaks with Sequential Monte Carlo Methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Infectious Diseases
Introduction: Nosocomial diseases, or healthcare-associated infections, pose significant challenges to patient safety and public health. In this study, we propose a novel approach that extends the state-of-the-art for detecting nosocomial disease ...

Confidence bands for Brownian motion and applications to Monte Carlo simulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Minimal area regions are constructed for Brownian paths and perturbed Brownian paths. While the theoretical optimal region cannot be obtained in closed form, we provide practical confidence regions based on numerical approximations and local time ...

Large‐Scale Determination of Frontier Orbital Energies of Disordered Small‐Molecule Organic Semiconductors Using Exciplex Emission Spectra

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurately knowing the frontier orbital energies of the structurally disordered small‐molecule organic semiconductors that are used in optoelectronic devices such as organic light‐emitting diodes is required to rationally improve their performance. Here, we show that these energies can be deduced with a large accuracy from the peak energies of

Reliability Indices Utlization in Combined Heat and Power ( CHP ) Optimal Operation

open access: yesMajlesi Journal of Electrical Engineering
The reason that cogeneration is being used more compared to separate heat and power is because it is more efficient.  In this paper the goal is finding the optimized CHP system utility size and thermal storage considering reliability limits of boiler and

Unconventional Biexciton Dynamics in Superradiant Perovskite Quantum Dots Driven by Many‐Body Correlations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐particle spectroscopy and variational quantum Monte Carlo simulations reveal that strong many‐body correlations fundamentally alter biexciton radiative recombination in weakly confined CsPbBr3 quantum dots. Intra‐ and inter‐exciton correlations reverse the conventional lifetime hierarchy, yielding biexcitons with longer radiative lifetimes than ...
