Series resistance limits for 0.05μm MOSFETs
Superlattices and Microstructures, 2000Technology scaling demands shallower junctions for MOSFETs, making high-conductivity access to the intrinsic device harder to achieve. Considerable effort has been devoted to improving process technology in order to reduce the sheet resistivity of shallow implanted layers.

Minimizing equivalent series resistance measurement errors
Microelectronics Reliability, 2002Abstract The equivalent series resistance (ESR) of today's components continues to improve which makes the measurement of low ESR values a significant challenge. ESR measurement errors include the choice of measurement equipment/technique, traceability from national laboratories, and the interfacing and contacting to the device.

Measurement of series resistance in IMPATT diodes
IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1983A new method is given for determining the electrical series resistance of an IMPATT diode. The measurement is based on observation of the oscillation threshold bias current for a diode in a standard circuit. The method is applied to GaAs diodes near 40 GHz.

Computation of the polarization resistance by a series expansion
Corrosion Science, 1996Abstract The definition of the polarization resistance, R p , as the reciprocal of the first derivative of the function i = i ( ΔE ) at the point ΔE = 0 is introduced by considering the kinetic law of a system where more than two elementary electrochemical reactions occur. The importance of establishing a direct relationship between I c

Series resistance compensation in translinear circuits
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, 1998The base resistance is often the primary limitation factor for the accuracy in translinear circuits. A general compensation technique for the extrinsic base resistance and the emitter series resistance is presented in this paper. The applications discussed include proportional-to-absolute-temperature (PTAT) temperature sensors and bandgap references.

Resistant decomposition of economic time series
Empirica, 1991The paper proposes two resistant methods for time series decomposition, i. e., methods that are insensitive to a few aberrant observations. One is based on running medians instead of the usual moving averages and is designed along the lines of SABL, a package developed shortly after Tukey's ideas were published.
