Single‐Molecule Imaging of Endogenous RNA Using a Miniaturized and Circularly Permuted CRISPR‐Cas13 Degron‐Masking System CDegSR

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDegSR, a new tool for imaging RNA at single molecule level in living cells was developed by researchers. Background noise was eliminated by protein engineering and making it degrade when not bound to its target. This allowed individual RNA molecules to be clearly imaged and tracked.

Intelligent Programmable Membrane Nanosponge for Early Virus Blocking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A smart programmable nanosponge (ACNPs) displays high‐density viral receptors on its membrane and encapsulates fusion inhibitors to capture virions at the infection source through competitive binding and blocks their entry through protease inhibition for ultra‐early cascade interception. This modular, mucus‐penetrating platform shifts antiviral defence

Prion‐Like Protein LENG8‐Mediated Nucleation Drives Stress Granule Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LENG8 is a newly identified stress granule (SG) nucleator required for SG assembly. Following stress, nuclear LENG8 granules disassemble, allowing LENG8 to translocate into the cytoplasm and form independent nucleation foci. These foci fuse with canonical early G3BP1/TIA1 seeds via LENG8‐TIA1 binding to drive SG maturation.

Lyssavirus Nucleoprotein Induces GPAT4‐Mediated CYB5R1 Depalmitoylation to Suppress Ferroptosis and Promote Viral Replication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid metabolism plays a vital role in viral infections. Here, we reveal that the lyssavirus N protein regulates GPAT4 to induce lipid droplet biogenesis, restricting CYB5R1 palmitoylation and reducing ferroptosis susceptibility to ultimately promote viral replication.

Pathological Signal‐Responsive Nanoplatforms for Sepsis: Integrating Biomarker Sensing With Spatiotemporal Drug Delivery and Immunomodulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biomarker‐triggered nanoplatforms transform sepsis therapy by coupling pathological sensing with precision drug release. This review reveals how microenvironment‐responsive nanomedicines enable stage‐specific intervention, improve therapeutic efficacy, and minimize systemic toxicity, while highlighting emerging opportunities for AI‐assisted and ...
