Characterization of Genetic Landscape and Novel Inflammatory Biomarkers in Patients With Adult‐Onset Still's Disease

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Adult‐onset Still disease (AOSD) is a systemic autoinflammatory disorder (AID) of unknown etiology. Genetic studies have been limited. Here, we conducted detailed genetic and inflammatory biomarker analysis of a large cohort with AOSD to investigate the underlying pathology and identify novel targets for potential treatment.

open access: yesJGH Open, Volume 6, Issue 12, Page 846-853, December 2022., 2022
We evaluated the incidence, predictors, and outcomes associated with elevated liver enzymes (ELE) in a diverse and vulnerable inflammatory bowel disease cohort. In multivariate Cox regression, ulcerative colitis (vs Crohn's disease) had a 34% lower risk of developing new ELE during follow‐up (hazard ratio 0.66, 95% confidence interval: 0.46–0.95, P = 0.

Inferring epidemic parameters for COVID-19 from fatality counts in Mumbai [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Epidemic parameters are estimated through Bayesian inference using the daily fatality counts in Mumbai during the period from March 31 to April 14. A doubling time of 5.5 days (median with 95% CrI of 4.6-6.9 days) is observed. In the SEIR model this gives the basic reproduction rate R_0 of 3.4 (median with 95% CrI of 2.4-4.8).
