Visible Light Induced DLP‐Printed Oxygen‐Releasing TPMS Scaffolds Mitigate Early Hypoxia in Bone Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Visible light‐induced digital light processing 3D printed Primitive‐triply periodic minimal surface hydrogels embed CaO2–Si core–shell nanoparticles to deliver short‐term oxygen during the avascular window. The scaffolds maintain cytocompatibility, elevate osteopontin in vitro, and enhance calvarial defect repair in vivo without toxicity.

A Heparin‐Functionalized Scaffold with HB‐EGF Immobilization for Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, a heparin‐functionalized scaffold is designed for bio‐mimicking growth factors reservoir function of extracellular matrix. Due to the presence of heparin‐binding domain, heparin‐binding epidermal growth factor‐like growth factor (HB‐EGF) is effectively and spatially captured by heparin‐functionalized scaffold.

Tunicate‐Inspired Carboxymethyl Cellulose Hydrogel Filler for Treating Age‐Associated Vocal Fold Atrophy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The pyrogallol‐conjugated carboxymethylcellulose (CMC‐PG) hydrogel is applicated as a filler for the treatment of presbylaryngis, a vocal fold atrophy. CMC‐PG provides a bulking effect to the vocal folds. CMC‐PG is readily injectable and tissue adhesive, enabling sustained release of growth factor over long period.

Electrochemical Biosensor for Rapid Detection of Acute Rejection in Kidney Transplants

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A low‐cost, rapid electrochemical immunosensor coated with a novel antifouling nanocomposite enables single‐step, dual‐biomarker profiling directly from unprocessed urine. Application in a clinical study shows accurate discrimination of acute rejection in kidney transplants from other acute kidney injuries via machine learning.

Development of a Synthetic 3D Platform for Compartmentalized Kidney In Vitro Disease Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A fully synthetic, compartmentalized 3D kidney disease model is introduced. The kidney model combines a PEG‐based hydrogel matrix with anisotropic, enzymatically degradable rod‐shaped microgels to spatially arrange a triple co‐culture of key renal epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblast cells.

Plasma‐Polymerized Nanoparticles Presenting Fibrillin‐1 Drive Rapid Re‐Endothelialization of Vascular Grafts

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Commercial vascular grafts are made from ePTFE, a highly hydrophobic, foreign material that fails at a high rate in small‐diameter applications. Plasma polymer nanoparticles (PPN) are a versatile material functionalisation tool, used here to present fibrillin‐1 fragment PF8 on the graft surface.
