Effect of Training and Exercise on Serum Ceruloplasmin in Rats

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1972
SummarySerum ceruloplasmin activity was significantly increased in trained rats compared with untrained control rats. Exhaustive exercise significantly elevated ceruloplasmin in both trained and untrained rats. It is suggested that serum ceruloplasmin levels may be useful as an indicator for quantitating training.

Increased plasma ceruloplasmin levels in schizophrenia

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Psychopharmacology, 2021
Objective: Ceruloplasmin is a protein in the human serum that is synthesized by hepatocytes, but extrahepatic gene expression in the brain, lung, spleen, and testis has also been reported.

Association of Copper Status with Lipid Profile and Functional Status in Patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesJournal of Nutrition and Metabolism, 2018
Oxidative stress is one of the main mechanisms associated with the pathogenesis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Copper can affect cellular oxidation and lipid metabolism. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of copper status with

Evaluation of Oxidation – Antioxidation Balance in Sera of Patients with Acute Hepatitis Virus Type C.

open access: yesScience Journal of University of Zakho, 2013
Aim of the present study has to focused on the possible relationship between serum malondialdehyde level, an index of lipid peroxidation, and ceruloplasmin levels, as protective agent against lipid peroxidation, in hepatitis C virus.
