Antimicrobial peptide (AMP)‐loaded nanocarriers provide a multifunctional strategy to combat drug‐resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. By enhancing intracellular delivery, bypassing efflux pumps, and disrupting bacterial membranes, this platform restores phagolysosome fusion and macrophage function.

Anaemia and cognitive function among Chinese elderly in Old Folks Homes [PDF]
The relationship between anaemia and cognitive function was evaluated among 35 Chinese elderly (24 men and 11 women) aged 60 to 85 years (mean age 70.1 ± 6.7 years) from five old folks homes in Klang Valley. They were interviewed to obtain information on

Alterations in serum amino acid concentrations in dogs with protein-losing enteropathy [PDF]
BackgroundCertain amino acids are decreased in humans with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and supplementation with the same amino acids has shown beneficial effects in animal models of IBD.

This review explores how alternative invertebrate and small‐vertebrate models advance the evaluation of nanomaterials across medicine and environmental science. By bridging cellular and organismal levels, these models enable integrated assessment of toxicity, biodistribution, and therapeutic performance.

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...

Age as a determinant of nutritional status: A cross sectional study [PDF]
Background Undenutrition is known to be prevalent and largely unrecognised in older patients; however, aberrations in indicators of nutritional status may simply reflect effects of age and/or functional disability.

Effect of Alcohol on Serum Folate Level [PDF]
Alcohol was given orally and intravenously to normal and chronic alcoholic volunteers to study its effect on folate metabolism. Oral alcohol, given to nine subjects on a low folate diet, caused a greater fall in serum Lactobacillus casei folate levels than that seen in eight subjects on a low folate diet alone. This alcohol-induced fall in serum folate

Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.
